District II Spring League Information
— Additional Registration Requirements
-
Registration for playing league: District
II Spring League Registration can be found on the District II website
(
www.cysadistrict2.org). The
Spring League pages of the District II web site provide a very good,
complete, description of all the processes for spring registration, due
dates, etc. Please review the documents in the Rules &
Information and Calendar sections, as I believe all
of your potential questions will be answered in one of these
documents.
-
Additional paperwork due to De Anza
League:
Two copies of your online registration
Copy of player pass for any player coming
from another league and not formally registered with your team
Registration materials for any new players or adults
-
Fees for spring are all
payable to DYSL, and must be submitted with your
registration, by the deadline (will be posted on-line —
probably March 5th). IGNORE all fee information on the
District II Spring League web site. Force fees are club fees between team
and Force. In addition to the fees owed by all teams, teams playing DII
Spring League need to pay the following fees:
-
DII Spring League team fee —
Check payable to DYSL for $200 per team
-
New Player Fee — Check
payable to DYSL for an additional $20 per player for any
player registering for CYSA for the first time this seasonal year (covers
CYSA insurance, field fund fees).
-
Referee Fees — Check payable
to DYSL for referee fees, based on age group:
U9 & U10 $325
U11 — U 13 $400
U14+ $550
-
Deadline for paperwork and fees to De
Anza: On-line registration deadline, which will likely be March 5,
2007. Online registration is not valid unless you have turned in
paperwork and money to your Home League Registrar by this date.
-
Other Registration deadlines:
Registering Individual Player New to
CYSA: Calendar is not yet posted but you should assume an April 1, 2007
cut off date.
Adding Player to DII Spring Team Roster:
Calendar is not yet posted, but for now assume an April 15, 2007 cut off
date.
-
Team Background Information: The age
group coordinators for DII Spring League need to seed over 400 teams
every Spring. They note: “The divisions will consist of
6 to 10 teams. To enable this, some teams may be moved up as necessary.
It helps the schedulers if you provide additional data such as what
percent of your roster are new players; how many players are playing up;
how many games do you play per year?” Please be sure to
include answers to these questions, along with any other information that
might help ensure your team is placed in the appropriate grouping.
-
DII Spring League Team Volunteer
Requirement: It is noted on the DII Spring League website that each team
is required to volunteer two hours towards league tasks such as
coordination, mailings, phone. If/when your team is contacted about
volunteering, please agree to do so graciously!
-
Minimum/Maximum Number of Players:
-
Playing 8-a-side —
must register a minimum of 10 players and maximum of 13
-
Playing 11-a-side —
must register a minimum of 13 players and maximum of 18
-
Exception —
Teams playing 8-a-side can register up to 18 players for DII Spring
League, but must communicate to the parents that when the
team registers for Fall, the roster must be reduced to no
more than 13 players for U10 and younger teams.
-
Player Passes and Registration:
-
If player played for a CYSA team
in Fall, have the player ask the previous coach for that pass. The pass
is valid for Spring.
-
If player cannot get
pass, player must get USYSA ID # (found on pass and on previous
team's goldenrod), then you must print out Spring pass
from website, fill in spring pass, have it signed, attach a picture, and
submit with team registration paperwork
-
New to CYSA players - submit
Spring pass, as detailed above. I will fill in USYSA # when I register
the player. Must also submit completed 1601 USYSA registration form,
signed in two places by parent, along with copy of birth certificate or
passport.
-
Pictures -- same rules as always
-- 1"x1", on photo quality paper, no polaroids, no izone, no hats, no
sunglasses, high resolution, etc.
-
If you plan to play
official tournaments using CYSA paperwork before completing your 2007-08
registration, you must officially register players new to your team via
the standard player add or transfer forms. Using the
“paper” registration process for DII Spring
League will not allow these players to participate in tournaments with
you.
-
If you plan to play
official tournaments using CYSA paperwork before completing your 2007-08
registration, you must officially transfer players coming from
other CYSA teams, submitting a completed Team Roster Change form (1606),
player pass and $5 transfer fee. You are still limited to three transfers
onto your team.
-
Adult Passes andRegistration:
If you are coaching the same team
as for Fall, use your Fall coach's pass
If you are coaching a new team,
but were registered in Fall and completed a full-page adult form, then
simply submit a Spring pass for yourself for this new team
If you are a new coach, submit a
Spring pass and a full page pink adult registration form, along with a
copy of your coaching license
As with players, if you plan to
play official tournaments before completing your 2006-07 registration,
adults new to the team must be added per the standard adult registration
procedures.
